Budget 3D Printer Systems
Airwolf 3D’s goal is simple — create and distribute exceptional desktop 3D printers for polycarbonate, ABS and other common materials used in every industry, from graphic design to medical tools. Explore the features that come standard on our various options, then discover your 3D printer brand possibilities below.
Features
No discussion on 3D printers is complete without discussing some of the exclusive features that make each model a market favorite. Unless otherwise noted, all our polycarbonate printer systems include the following features to improve any operation.
Auto Bed Leveling
A polycarbonate 3D printer with auto bed leveling (ABL) helps keep your processes moving, and ours is affordable on practically any budget. ABL printers have a sensor probe that allows them to detect the distance between the printing plate and the nozzle and automatically adjust when necessary to prevent uneven adhesion, especially on the first layer. Without ABL, operators must manually adjust the plate throughout printing, leading to a slower production time.
Air Filter System
Any 3D printer for polycarbonate should have a built-in air filtration system. Because of how 3D printers mold plastic and other materials, they usually give off two kinds of emissions:
- Particulate emissions: Ultrafine particles of print materials that are invisible to the naked eye and odorless. They can be inhaled and irritate the lungs and other internal structures.
- Volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions: The fumes associated with 3D printing and similar processes, like burning plastic or wet paint. This is an indication you’re inhaling chemicals that can become toxic.
Heated Bed
A heat bed is an essential tool in maintaining an accurate profile throughout the printing process. Using a heat bed ensures the model stays at an even temperature until it is complete. Without one, the materials on the inside and outside of the model will cool at different rates, causing warping.
Interchangeable Nozzles
Our printer systems allow you to change the filament nozzles, adding a new level of versatility to your creativity. Enhance any project by switching to thinner nozzles, creating a model with high-resolution detail. Or, reduce project times by choosing a thicker nozzle to complete your prints.
Enclosed Chamber
When looking to prevent warping and improved safety, an enclosed chamber provides significant benefits over an open structure. Similar to a heated bed, the enclosed chamber helps regulate model temperature throughout printing, regulating the printer’s heat in the enclosed area. This containment keeps both heat and noise from dispersing into the surrounding area, improving safety.
Heated Chamber
In the EVO and EVO 22 printer series, a heated chamber allows you to adjust the airflow temperature within the enclosed space. This feature is most helpful when working with fragile materials that are likely to warp or delaminate.
Large Parts
The EVO 22 printer is our largest 3D polycarbonate printer in stock, excellent for industrial, high-temperature, hot-end operations. Use it to create the largest functional prototypes yet or start creating production-ready parts for your next run.
Our 3D Printers
The EVO and AXIOM series printers represent the industry’s best 3D printing machines for most industrial, educational and personal creative endeavors.
EVO Series
The EVO series provides the latest in affordable and educational 3D printer technology. Along with its top manufacturing speeds and the desktop Additive Manufacturing Center (AMC), it also comes with a free online training program, guiding you through every aspect of printer setup and use.
EVO printers can manufacture items with a range of materials, including filaments made of:
- Metal
- Polycarbonate (PC)
- ABS
AXIOM Series
The AXIOM series printers have safe, reliable designs and features like a direct drive extruder assembly, which makes it easier than ever to work with challenging filaments and still create an accurate and usable object, even when the model is complex.
Some AXIOM printers can handle more than 40 material types, like:
- ABS
- PC
- Polypropylene
- Nylon
